About Jesse Escueta

Jesse graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Philippines, School of Allied Medical Professions. Since graduating, Jesse has taken on various roles that included teaching, management, as well as professional and business consulting. Jesse has also worked (and continues to work) with different populations that includes mechanics, heavy equipment operators, mothers, students, children, dental hygienists, nurses, number crunchers, clerical workers, athletes, and students. The age of his patient population ranges from infants to adults.

Jesse’s deep dive into manual therapy began in 2008 with an osteopathic approach. In the last eight years, Jesse has devoted his time and effort into understanding and practicing the functional manual therapy approach that was developed at the Institute of Physical Art.

As a professional, Jesse is on a lifelong pursuit to hone his skills at identifying the driver of the patient’s dysfunctions, at recognizing clinical patterns of presentation, and at finding an appropriate approach and technique to treat the underlying problem of the person’s condition. He likes to evaluate and treat dysfunction using a layer-by-layer and system-wide approach. Jesse’s intention is to restore and optimize the functional inter-relationships of distinct parts of the human body with the ultimate goal of, hopefully, helping make the person whole.

These days, Jesse mostly sees patients whose main complaints are pain and limited range of motion secondary to structural, positional, biomechanical and movement issues. Jesse is also interested in treating various other conditions that include gait correction, efficient patterns in weightlifting, visceral functions, vertigo, sleep disorders, airways, anxiety, and autism. His current course of studies include CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release with the Upledger Institute; and, CranioFacial Therapy with CRAFTA.
