About Oluwaseyi Ojofeitimi
Sheyi Ojofeitimi is co-owner of Synthesis Physical Therapy and senior physical therapist at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater where she coordinates the in-house program (screening, triage & backstage preventative therapy services) for the two companies and students. She has worked with professional dancers for 13 years and spent 9 years at Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus as senior research associate at the Analysis of Dance and Movement Center (ADAM Center), a biomechanics laboratory. There she was part of a team of physical therapists, biomechanists, computer scientists, and engineers who conducted biomechanical and epidemiologic research to aide in the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injury in dancers. She has co-authored several dance medicine related peer-reviewed journal articles.
