About Jeff Rau
Jeff Rau received his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, in 2000. He completed certification for functional manual therapy in 2006, and then yearlong intensive fellowship training in manual therapy. He is a guest lecturer for University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas’s Doctoral Physical Therapy school and also the University of North Texas’s Health Science Center, Doctoral physical therapy program. Jeff has a private practice in Euless, Texas, which is 15 minutes east of Fort Worth and 20 minutes west of downtown Dallas. Each client session is one on one, using the concepts of manual physical therapy to listen to the client, and with them, figure out where the problem is coming from, and then help them address the hurts, pain or problems whether they are from nerve, muscle, bone, joint, balance, dizziness, indigestion, visceral pain/problems, repetitive motion, stress reaction or and motor control dysfunctions. Before becoming a PT, Jeff received a Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from University of Arkansas in 1990. He helped to develop a sports medical program for a small country in the Indian Ocean, preparing National and Olympic athletes from several countries to prepare for national and international competition. He has competed in high level indoor and beach volleyball, and received his black belt in American Karate at age 47. He lives in Euless Texas with his wife and son, and continues to teach and practice Karate with his son.
