About Carol Holyoke

Over her career, Carol Holyoke has worked at some of the premier clinics specializing in Performing Arts Medicine. She began practicing in 1999 at Westside Dance Physical Therapy, under the tutelage of Marika Molnar, where she treated members of the New York City Ballet and The School of American Ballet. For fourteen years she was a therapist at PhysioArts Physical Therapy with Jennifer Green, which served the Broadway Community and the broader community of dancers and performers in New York. Since 2010, Carol has been on staff at the Juilliard School where she is a primary physical therapist for students across the divisions of Dance, Music (Classical and Jazz), Vocal Arts, and Theater. In addition, she sees patients privately in her office on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Carol has a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Art History from Wesleyan University, and a Masters in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. She is a Certified as a Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art (CFMT) and is a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CMA). For several years, Carol held an adjunct faculty position at Columbia University where she taught Soft Tissue Manipulation. Before becoming a physical therapist, Carol was a licensed massage therapist in the State of Washington, and a passionate student of Dance and Movement Arts.
