About Angelo Urquico

Angelo received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Chapman University in 2005, and completed an orthopedic residency program and year-long movement science program upon graduation. He has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist since 2007, and Certified Functional Manual Therapist since 2014. Angelo’s passion for learning and growth has led him toward multiple certifications:

– Certified Movement Links Specialist
– Certified in Applied Functional Science
– Certified in Myofascial Decompression
– Certified Stick Mobility Level 1 Coach
– Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist

Angelo proudly works at Coury & Buehler Physical Therapy and is the program director for their accredited orthopedic residency program. They are a private practice with multiple clinics throughout Orange County, and have been recognized as Top Practice in the Nation by Advance Magazine, Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies, and OC Register’s Top Places to Work!

Angelo was always active in sports and martial arts as a kid and strongly believes that physical health is the key to preventing disease and maintaining balance in life, so physical therapy was a natural choice for him to remain active while making a difference in people’s lives.

Angelo’s treatment philosophy emphasizes individualized care and facilitating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. He provides a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation by combining functional manual therapy, movement and pain science, sports medicine, and developmental kinesiology.

Angelo strives to maintain balance in all aspects of life, so staying healthy, reading, watching sports, training jiu-jitsu, and hanging out with friends and family help him achieve that. He feels very blessed to being able to provide a home in Yorba Linda for his wife and 3 daughters! He looks forward to watching his girls tap out boys in jiu-jitsu, and not letting them date until they buy their own house!
